Tanec Praha International Festival of Contemporary Dance is one of the biggest events in the Czech Republic. The festival presents diversity and quality of the current international and local dance scene, gives space for experimentation and crossover with other genres, and supports the emergence of new works as co-productions.

As the International Project Manager, I have managed projects such as:

  • Moving Borders - the project explores how three female dance artists from Ukraine – and the migration of millions of women and children escaping from the Russian occupation of their country – are informing approaches to welcoming and engaging refugees through dance, and the development of inclusive and cohesive practices across Europe. Moving Borders is a cooperation project co-funded by the EU.

  • Visiting Artist Programme - With 23 partners in 22 countries across Europe, Visiting Artist Programme is a collaborative project aimed at stimulating artistic development, creative exchange and valuable networking. VAP is a cooperation project co-funded by the EU.

  • Erasmus+ - as part of Erasmus + art therapy, through a series of workshops, experts in the field from Czechia and Slovakia, have shared their practice with artists from Ukraine as well as others interested in art therapy and/or contemporary dance. Workshops equipped participants with innovative approaches and methodologies that can be useful in the post-war reconstruction of the country as well as their own creative practice.

  • Let the Body Speak - project run by UA Dance Platform in partnership with The Place, to celebrate and support the work of Ukrainian dance artists since the full scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. In 2024, The Place and UA Dance Platform have partnered up with Tanec Praha to offer an exceptional opportunity for six Ukrainian, Czech and UK-based artists for professional development, peer learning, and future project development, with the potential to develop work that could tour in Ukraine and beyond.
